Dental programs

Four kinds of dental trip.

Most asked

Implants · two trips

Trip 1: examination, CBCT scan and implant placement. The implant then fuses with the bone at home, usually over about three to six months. Trip 2: the final crown is made and fitted. If you need a bone graft, the dentist tells you before anything is booked.

Complex

Full arch · two trips

For a whole jaw of missing or failing teeth. Trip 1: extractions, four to six implants and, when the implants are stable enough, a fixed temporary bridge within days. Trip 2, months later: the final bridge. You never leave without teeth.

One trip

Crowns & veneers

Crowns, bridges and veneers in a single trip of about a week to ten days: preparation and temporaries, lab work, try-in and fitting. We ask clinics for a conservative approach to veneers that keeps as much natural tooth as possible.

Short trip

Check-up & general dentistry

An examination with X-rays, cleaning, fillings, wisdom-tooth extraction or root-canal treatment. A good short trip, and the right first step if you don't yet know what you need.

Every route can use any program. Prices, implant brands and treatment details are set out in our dental tourism guide.

How it works

Treatment sets the pace.

Before you fly

Plan from home

Send a panoramic X-ray or CBCT and photos. A dentist reviews them and tells you whether your case fits one trip or needs two, before anything is booked.

Days 1–3

Examine, then treat

The clinic examines you, takes a fresh CBCT scan and confirms the plan and price in writing. Surgery or tooth preparation comes early in the trip, never on the last day.

Rest of trip

Recover while you travel

Gentle sightseeing between check-ups, a review before you fly, and a written summary and X-rays to take to your dentist at home.

Have an X-ray already?

Send a panoramic X-ray or CBCT taken in the last six months. A dentist tells you whether your case fits one trip or two, and what it is likely to involve.

FAQ

Dental tours — answered.

Can I get implants and the final teeth in one trip?
Usually not. Conventional implants need about three to six months to fuse with the bone before the final crown or bridge is fitted. That's why our implant and full-arch routes are planned as two trips. On a full-arch trip you leave with fixed temporary teeth.
Are the hospitals public or private?
Every hospital on these routes is a public hospital, most of them university dental hospitals. Three of them, in Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu, are China's National Centers for Stomatology.
Why are dental implants cheaper in China now?
In 2023, China ran national volume-based procurement for implants: the average price of the selected implant bodies fell by 55%, to just over 900 yuan. China's healthcare security administration also asked tertiary public hospitals to keep the medical-service fee for a single routine implant to no more than 4,500 yuan. That cap covers the service fee only; the crown and any grafting are charged separately.
How much does a dental tour cost?
It depends on the treatment, which only a dentist can confirm after seeing your X-rays, plus the route and hotels. Send us an X-ray and your dates, and we'll reply with an itemised quote that names the implant or material brands.
What if something goes wrong after I get home?
Ask about the clinic's follow-up and warranty terms before you book, in writing. You leave with full records, X-rays and implant details, so your dentist at home can see exactly what was done, and your coordinator stays in touch after the trip.
Can my partner come?
Yes. A companion is helpful on surgery days, and they can join the sightseeing or book their own check-up.
