- Why use a clinical translator instead of Google Translate or a generic agency?
- Medical translation has a low tolerance for error. A mistranslation between “positive” (positive lymph nodes — bad) and “positive” (positive treatment response — good), or between mg and mcg dosing, can change a treatment plan. Clinically trained linguists understand SNOMED CT, ICD-10 / ICD-11, LOINC and the local conventions of source and target healthcare systems. - Are translations certified for visa, insurance and legal use?
- Yes. We provide certified translations with translator declaration, agency stamp, and unique verification number — accepted by US / Canadian / UK / EU / Australian consular and immigration authorities, by major insurance carriers for claim processing, and by university medical schools for credential evaluation. For uses requiring sworn / notarized translation (some EU countries, court proceedings), we route through a sworn translator network at +$60–$120 per document.
- How do you protect patient confidentiality?
- Records are uploaded via encrypted portal with audit logging. Linguists and reviewers sign individual NDAs and access only assigned documents. We retain source and target files for 90 days for revision support, then permanently delete on request. Patient identifiers can be redacted on request before linguist hand-off (PHI-redacted mode) for additional safety. Our handling aligns with HIPAA, GDPR and PRC PIPL — see our Privacy Policy.
- Can you translate in real time during a hospital consultation?
